Gretchen and Rob were recommended to us when we needed coverage for our three dogs while on vacation. One of our three had special needs due to a spinal stroke and we were very impressed with the compassion and care shown by Gretchen and Rob while we were away. There is no question that our dogs prefer the stay at home arrangement and Gretchen and Rob were excellent in both their service and in sending us frequent reports on the dogs’ status.

The only hesitation we have in giving them the high praise they deserve is the concern that we may be fostering competition for our future getaway plans. They are great!

I needed someone to take care of my two Aussies.  I posted on a neighborhood Facebook group that I was looking for someone and Gretchen reached out to me.  Cheyenne was 10 and Patch was two months old when we got him.  We needed someone to come every few hours during the day until Patch was fully house trained.

I love how much time Gretchen spends with my two Aussies.  She walks them separately which gives them time apart and leash training for Patch.  She has good recommendations and my furry kids love her.  My favorite part is the notes she leaves for me.

Gretchen put warm compresses on Cheyenne’s eyes before we found out she had an eye infection.  She has given Cheyenne medicine when she was suffering from bladder stones.  Woofs About Town try to be available for me when I need them.

Gretchen has developed a relationship with my furry kids as well as me.  I trust her with my home and taking care of the kids.  Woofs About Town treat all their clients like their own.

I recommend Gretchen every chance I get.  Woofs About Town is part of my town.  I value them as friends and want to watch their business grow.  Woofs About Town even purchased a business duck from my son for the fundraiser for his school.

We were in need of dog sitter because we had to be away from home periodically on Saturdays or Sundays for longer than we felt comfortable leaving Molly and wanted to avoid having to put her in the kennel overnight.  Gretchen and Rob have been great to work with.  They have been able to accommodate our intermittent need for a dog sitter almost every time we have called, sometimes on fairly short notice.  Molly is a horribly slow walker – she needs to sniff everything! Gretchen and Rob always send us a note after they come giving us the details of their visit, including just how long it took to accomplish the walk.  They are very patient dog walkers!  If time is left over they fill us in on how much time they spend rubbing Molly’s belly, which is probably what she loves the most.  Finally, they are so concerned with Molly’s safety, that they ask me to text them when I get home so they know we were not in an accident and Molly is being taken care of.

My wife discovered Woofs About Town through social media.  We’ve been having them come twice a day to walk and play with Molly.  They are extremely reliable and enthusiastic.  They clearly love their job.  I am very happy with the service and particularly appreciate the daily status reports and the beautiful pictures they send us of Molly playing in the yard.  I would definitely recommend Woofs About Town to anyone who wants to have peace of mind daily that their pet is being cared for by caring people.

We first found out about Woofs About Town through our veterinarian. We were looking for a recommendation and they had several clients who were very happy with the service Woofs provided. The first time Gretchen visited our home to meet our “crew”; she took her time getting to know our pets and all their routines and needs. We have two large dogs and three cats, so it’s a lot to handle, but Gretchen and Rob have such an attention to detail that I always knew that our gang was in professional hands. Several of our pets require special food and medication, but that was never a concern, we just provided Woofs with the information and instructions needed and they made sure our pets were safe and healthy.

One thing that I really appreciate about Woofs About Town is their attention to detail. On one occasion, I had left some new dog toys for our guys to play with while we were away for the day. Apparently, our bigger dog had practically destroyed them in our absence, but Gretchen noticed this, and removed the toys so they wouldn’t be a safety risk. She immediately notified me about what had happened and I was relieved to know she took action to avoid a potentially dangerous situation.

I also appreciate that Gretchen always responds to my texts and emails quickly, and will text me with updates when she is “on duty”. She and Rob always leave a note with all the specifics of their visit to our home, what the dogs and cats did, ate, etc. and as a bonus, always emails me amazing photos of my crew. They take the best pictures, I actually asked Gretchen for a few pointers!

Woofs About Town has become part of my family.  My little boy, Lord BE (Bentley Ellison), was still a puppy when we first started using Woofs About Town.  I was working 12 hour days and I couldn’t imagine leaving my “baby” for that many hours.  Woofs About Town was recommended to me by another pet agency that didn’t service my area.  Gretchen and Rob came over and spent a good hour with my husband and I and Lord BE.  Our little guy took immediately to them and wanted to play the whole time they were here.  As they talked with us about their business, Gretchen kept playing with our pup with such ease… much like a mother multi-tasking as if it were something we all do effortlessly!

We told them we thought they were perfect for us and thus began our beautiful relationship with Woofs!  They came to our home faithfully every day, feeding playing and sending me pictures via email so I could see my little guy having fun!  The pictures melted my heart as I saw how much he loved his playtime both inside the house and outside running.  Gretchen also texted me each day with a short note telling me that LordBE had “done his business” while he romped and scoured the yard for chipmunks and squirrels.  An evening email was also a treat for me as Gretchen would highlight the adorable things my baby Maltese had done that day.  Again, her attention to letting me in on important and highlighted events meant so much to me.  I was getting to know the details which let me know how happy Lord BE’s time was with Gretchen and Rob.

They have been dubbed Lord BE’s nannies… my friends and family laugh that I have a nanny for my dog but Woofs About Town dedicate themselves just like a nanny does.  The love and devotion they have to Lord BE is incredible.  They have come over to visit when I am home and I have seen how Lord BE runs up to his “nanny”, licks and romps and immediately wants to play!  Lord BE loves them and they love Lord BE.  I couldn’t be happier because I can go out to work knowing that my dog’s every want and need is being taken care of while I am away.

I have recommended them to friends and, they, too, are so pleased with the tremendous service they receive from Rob and Gretchen.  Woofs About Town is more than the average pet sitting service… they are two individuals who really love animals and embrace them as their own.  With all the dogs they service, my Lord BE feels like HE IS THE ONLY DOG in their life.  Their outpouring of love; sitting with, petting, kissing, walking and playing with my dog who needs that attention is phenomenal.

Thank you Gretchen and Rob for dedicating your lives to serving the precious dogs and cats who so need your loving services while we are at work.  My Lord BE is such a happy and content little guy because he has you to play with and to exercise him while I am away.  We appreciate you more than you will ever know!

We started using Gretchen and Rob about three months ago… Our basset hound Cassie is very shy with strangers and it took three visits and a few times carrying Cassie downstairs to go outside before she warmed up, but they never lost patience with her. Now Cassie greets them with a wagging tail and a big bark hello! They have stayed with her overnight and visited for feeding and walks. I highly recommend them if you want to be worry-free when you leave your pet.

I needed to find a dog sitter that would stay at my house when I was on vacation.  Last year I left my dog Jenny at a kennel and she was shaking, howling, and drooling the whole time I was gone.  I was so upset that I told myself that I would not go away without her again.  But when my veterinarian’s office suggested that I try Woofs About Town, I knew that I had to check them out.

When Gretchen came over for a home visit I was so impressed with her and the paperwork that I filled out, that I felt my Jenny would be in good hands.  Jenny does not do well with other dogs and Gretchen seemed to be very familiar with dealing with dogs like her.  Jenny is an older dog (almost 12) and has a little arthritis as well.  Gretchen was so understanding about that and took her for several little walks during the day so Jenny would not overdo it.  Also, she slept with Jenny at night and that brought me a lot of comfort.

When I got home Jenny was not stressed out and seemed so happy.  It meant the world to me to know she did so well and would be o.k. when I need to leave again and can’t take her with me.  I will be using Woofs About Town for a week this month when I go out of the country, and I feel comfortable knowing she will be well looked-after.  I know that Jenny will not be stressed out with Gretchen caring for her.

One additional thing:  Gretchen knew how uncomfortable I initially was about leaving Jenny and she did a wonderful job with texting and e-mailing with updates and photos.  I know I can trust Gretchen with my Jenny and I am planning to use her whenever I go away in the future.  I would highly recommend Woofs About Town to anybody that needs a pet sitter.

These dog sitters are great! They truly care about our pet. Gretchen and Rob are such kind people who are so pleasant and conscientious. They go the extra mile to make sure our dog has all her needs met. It is so comforting to know I can leave the house and my pet is getting excellent care. I highly recommend this business.
